SMARTQUANTUM GROUP
SmartQuantum will participate at the single photon workshop SPW09 organized by the (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and IARPA (Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity). The workshop will be held at the NIST building in Boulder, Colorado, from Tuesday 3rd to Friday, 6th November 2009.
During the opening session Mr. Jerome Prieur, Managing Director and VP at SmartQuantum Inc, is invited to speak about the low-noise and high QE single photon detector called the SQLightSensor.
The SQLightSensor includes a Geiger-mode InGaAs avalanche photodiode (APD) and a thermoelectrically cooler that ensures high detection efficiency up to 25%, low dark count (5.10-6 per ns gate), high speed trigger up to 10 MHz, and low jitter. The gate width and the delay are adjustable. Thanks to its outstanding high level detection sensitivity the SQLightSensor provides significant benefit over existing detectors.
